Joe has over 25 years of experience in the maritime industry, including positions as CFO, treasurer, controller and director of financial information systems, primarily with Matson Navigation Company with responsibility for Matson Teminals. In 1993, he was appointed to the Finance Committee of the Pacific Maritime Association (PMA) and served as its chairman in 1998. Prior to founding Palazzolo & Associates, Joe was a partner in the international CPA firm, Touche Ross & Co. (predecessor to Deloitte & Touche) where he was responsible for engagements with Crowley Maritime Corporation, Delta Steamship Line and other international clients. Joe has lived in and managed overseas engagements in Australia, Kuwait, and Canada and has worked extensively in Asia.
He earned his Bachelor degree in Business Administration with a major in Accounting from the Jesuit University of Detroit. He furthered his education in corporate finance and strategy and supply chain management at the University of Michigan. Joe holds a CPA certificate from the State of California.
Joe is active in the Olympic Club and St. Monica elementary school, where he coaches baseball and has managed fund raising.
Jeff's experience includes almost 20 years in finance and operational roles in the transportation industry. His areas of expertise include finance, strategic planning, labor relations, safety and supply chain management. Prior to joining Palazzolo and Associates, Jeff was vice president of Finance and Accounting for Yusen Terminals. Prior to joining Yusen, Jeff worked for Mattel, Inc., as the senior manager of Operations/Logistics Finance– Domestic. He also served in senior management roles at APL in both finance and operations. Jeff's background is unique in that he has extensive experience in both finance and operations for both a carrier and an importer.
He earned his BA in Political Science from UCLA and has an MBA from the Graziadio School of Business at Pepperdine University.
Jeff's interests include participation within the Boy Scouts of America and acting in Community Theater.
Harry Chapman has over 30 years of experience across a broad set of disciplines including IT management, finance, operations and consulting. He began his consulting career with Touche Ross & Co (predecessor to Deloitte & Touche). He has held executive positions with Intel Corporation, LucasFilm, Ltd., The Nature Company and Galoob Toys. As a consultant, Harry has provided services to Matson Navigation, Crowley Maritime, PierPASS, Yusen Terminals, Times Mirror, Wells Fargo, Charles Schwab, Toronto Dominion Bank and Bell Atlantic.
Harry earned his BS in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from Cornell University. In addition, he has an MBA from Washington University in St. Louis. He is one of the founders of the Bay Area Consultants Network and is a Certified Management Consultant (CMC).
Harry is involved in his community, serving for six years on the Board of Marin Horizon School and as its treasurer. He was the co-chair of a task force in Sausalito, California, to develop a community center, and is active in the Sausalito Sister City program with Sakaide, Japan.
For the past 20 years, Bob has provided consulting services to a wide variety of industries, including maritime, manufacturing, financial services, technology, and non-profit. His skills include systems design and implementation, budgeting and forecasting. In addition, he has served as interim CFO/controller for over 12 companies. He also founded and operated his own real estate development company. Prior to his consulting career, Bob was an audit manager for Deloitte, Haskins and Sells (predecessor to Deloitte & Touche).
Bob holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Washington, where he majored in accounting, and holds a CPA certificate from the State of California.
He is an active member of the Georgian Group and the Attingham Institute, two organizations dedicated to the preservation of English Country Homes. Bob is also Vice President of the Board of Directors of Asia Neighborhood Design, which provides job training in the construction industry to low-income, “high risk” individuals.
Linda has over 15 years of financial experience including 10 years in the maritime industry. She’s held a variety of positions including Controller of Xtra International Ltd. and Audit Manager of Matson Navigation Company and Controller of Matson Leasing Company. Additionally, she has been responsible for financial planning and analysis, financial and operational systems implementation, business and asset valuations, and a variety of business process optimization projects. Prior to working in the maritime industry, Linda was an audit manager for KPMG in San Franciso.
Linda holds a BS in Business Administration from the University of California, Berkeley, with an emphasis in Accounting and Finance. She is a licensed CPA in the state of California.
Gail has over 10 years of experience in public accounting, private industry and the not-for-profit sector. Gail was a senior accountant and CPA in the tax department of the international CPA firm, Touche Ross & Co. (predecessor to Deloitte & Touche) where she was responsible for the tax return preparation for high net worth individuals and family groups, partnerships and trusts.
After a move to Jacksonville, Florida where she worked as the Controller for a real estate development company, Gail returned to the Bay Area with her family and worked as a financial analyst in the property management group of RREEF and was responsible for quarterly performance reporting to investors.
Gail has a B.A. with a concentration in Accounting from San Francisco State University.
